This is the ultimate cloth pad for the heaviest flow. This pad will cope with anything! It is thick, fully lined with PUL, which is completely waterproof, and backed with fleece too. It is flared at the front as well as the back. It is long, wide and thick. It measures 17" in length, 8.5" across the back, 6" across the front and a generous 3" width at your gusset. This pad is BIG! The bamboo pads will have the edge on the cotton ones as bamboo fabric is more absorbent than cotton, but all the Mega pads are excellent for the heaviest flow. Bamboo pads will take slightly longer to dry. So these pads are suitable for heavy monthly bleeding, for after childbirth, for heavy night flow, when the Night Pads are not thick enough (Do note though, the Mega Pads are not as flared at the back as the Night pads, so won't catch those trickles in the same way. I can make thicker Night Pads to order).They are also suitable for quite heavy incontinence.
How do these pads compare with the Slim Mega pads? Well, these are more absorbent, because they have more fabric in them, especially through the wings, which may be essential if you bleed to the side or in large splurges. Also the PUL layer goes completely through them, even through the wings, so they are leak proof. They will only leak 'over the top', if the pad becomes entirely saturated.

NB. I am now making Mega pads open at the bottom AND with 1 removable insert. This means the pad has 2 sewn in inner layers and 2 extra layers in an insert. It makes drying even quicker, and gives you the option of a slimmer pad for lighter (if you have those!) days. Re-stuff insert when dried.
